But how to know if your website is really SEO optimized and does it really needs the same?  Check for the keywords: keywords are the most important part of your website content and they readily effect on its ranking in search engines. Just like a user, type the keywords related to your business in Google page and check if your website is coming on the first page of the SERP. If yes, then its ok, you are going well with it, else you need to consider some improvement points for your website content. You must check this way after 2-3 weeks to analyze the improvement of your website and the audience traffic to it.
 
 Check for the keywords in Meta tags: Meta description tags can influence click through but aren't directly used for rankings.
 
 Keyword-based titles: Help establish page theme and direction for your keywords. Find out if there are sufficient keywords or more than that. Excessive keywords are not good for the website ranking as well.
 
 Don t forget to make a test to find if your local business is on the sitemap: XML sitemaps can easily be submitted via Google and Bing webmaster tools. They make it easier for the search engines to index your website.
 
 Check if the website URL is submitted to the directories: Google Ad sense is one popular way to check for this. Some may choose to include AdSense (google.com/AdSense) scripts on a new site to get the bot to visit
